Three Afghan nationals have been found guilty of grooming and raping a 17-year-old girl before fleeing the UK in the back of a lorry.
The girl was “quickly expected” to have sex with Safi, who had asked her to remove her clothing six to seven times, but insisted they would not have sex.
However, she was plied with alcohol and cigarettes and then raped by Safi and Habibkheil.
After falling asleep, she was raped and sexually assaulted by Ahmadzai, and then raped by the 17-year-old boy.
Later that morning the girl was raped again by Safi.

A 39 year old man from Old Colwyn has been jailed after being found guilty of multiple sexual offences.
Detectives arrested and charged Vishnu Remadevi with Rape, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, threatening with a bladed article, intentional strangulation, and controlling and coercive behaviour.

A Bangladeshi man whose 'culture may affect his attitude towards female children' has been jailed after he raped a 12-year-old girl and groomed a nine-year-old.
Prosecutors said Miah lacked 'English moral values' as he groomed the children on TikTok and Snapchat.
They would drive to his friend’s house, go to a room, lock the door, undress her and have sexual relations with her on the bed.
‘He had said he wanted to while they talked online but she didn’t expect to have sex on that occasion or indeed at all. Protection was not used because he said it felt better without it.
‘She had no sexual experience before this incident and it left her feeling sick. The same thing happened a few days later. After that he took her to a shop and bought her a vape.
‘There was another occasion where he took her to a car park and had sex with her in the back of the car. A fourth time happened in his house on his bed.’
The victim told the court in a statement her life had changed in ways she was ‘still struggling to cope with’ as a result of the abuse.
Asylum seeker who posed as child to enter UK groped schoolgirl

A “predatory” asylum seeker who posed as a child when he came to the UK has been jailed after groping a teenage girl.
Meron Habtu arrived illegally from Eritrea in 2020 and fooled the authorities into thinking he was a child so he could be placed with a host family. He was actually 24.
Habtu, now 29, groped the 15-year-old girl on a train in September 2022, a year after he had sexually assaulted another woman. At Poole magistrates’ court, he was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

A violent sex offender who launched a “sickening” attack on a young man on a train has been jailed following a British Transport Police (BTP) investigation.
Zakaria Mohammed, aged 32, of The Coppice, West Drayton, pleaded guilty to Actual Bodily Harm, Sexual Assault, False Imprisonment and breaching the conditions of a previous Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
The court heard how, shortly before 8.30am on Saturday 24 March, Mohammed sat directly opposite the 21-year-old victim at a table in an otherwise empty carriage.
The pair made small talk until Mohammed, who had clearly been drinking and was carrying a half empty bottle of wine, sexually assaulted the man.
He eventually moved to sit next to the victim, who attempted to the leave his seat when the train reached Reading station.
When he asked Mohamed to move so he could leave he refused, leaving the victim with no other option than to crawl under the table to escape.
However, as he was doing so, Mohammed repeatedly hit him over the head with his wine bottle.
On leaving the train the victim reported what had happened and realised he was bleeding heavily from cuts to his head.
Man jailed for stranger sexual assault in Launceston

A man has been jailed for three years for a terrifying sex attack on a teenage girl in a Launceston alleyway.
Bulgarian national Yordan Stanchev, 26, of no fixed abode, appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentence on Thursday 2 April having pleaded guilty to sexual assault.
On the evening in question the victim – who did not know Stanchev - was walking in the area when she noticed him following her.
As he sprinted towards her, she screamed and tried to run away. However, Stanchev caught up with her, pushed her against a metal fence and sexually assaulted her.
Despite being terrified, the victim bravely fought her attacker and injured his face.
Man followed female student through Sheffield city centre into subway before sex attack

Beinur Mustafa, a 35-year-old man who was sentenced to three years in prison following an attack on a female student in a Sheffield city centre subway.
Mustafa followed the victim before assaulting her, with police tracing him through CCTV and bus records.
Man charged with rape and murder after girl’s death

A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of the body of a two-year-old girl at an address in Chertsey.
Kevin Kerjean, 31, has also been charged with the rape and sexual assault of a child under 13 and is due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Monday.
Surrey Police had previously said the girl was three years old.
Kerjean was described by police as a French national who was born in the Central African Republic.
Man jailed for knifepoint rape in Brighton

A rapist who threatened a woman at knifepoint in Brighton has been jailed.
Philip Smith, aged 29, raped the woman late at night in central Brighton.
Then at about 3.30am on August 9 he approached the victim, a woman in her 30s, in Bartholomew Square and threatened her with a knife in order to rape her.
After he was arrested, Smith exposed himself to two women inside Brighton Custody Centre
Former British Airways pilot jailed for raping child he groomed online

Kwame Yeboah, 30, of Drake Way, Reading, first made contact with the child online in late 2025. She initially told him she was 17 and their conversations began ordinarily.
However, the nature of later messages and her appearance when they met in person would have made it clear to him that she was significantly younger and could not consent to any sexual activity with him.
Yeboah sent the child intimate images of himself and the conversations became increasingly sexual. He called her around twice a week, making her believe she was important to him and that he cared about her.
In February 2026, Yeboah travelled from Reading to Merseyside to meet the child late in the evening. He drove her around before taking her to an isolated location, where he raped her three times.
There are people who trust the Western justice system to deliver a proportionate sentence. They believe that such immigrants and illegals while needing some time to adjust and acclimatise to our Western societies, will eventually contribute to the economy and culture.
I am not one of those people.

Under Pakistan’s, Indian, and Bangladesh’s penal code, rape is severely punished. Depending on the severity of the offense and the circumstances of the crime, the legal framework mandates the following penalties:
Pakistan:
Standard Rape (Section 376 of the PPC): Punishable by death or imprisonment for a term of 10 to 25 years. The convict is also liable to pay a fine.
Gang Rape (Section 375A of the PPC): Punishable by death or imprisonment for life or for the remainder of the offender's natural life, along with a fine.
Rape of Minors and Disabled Persons: Rapes committed against a minor or a person with mental or physical disabilities are punishable by the death penalty or life imprisonment.
Custodial Rape: If a government or public official takes advantage of their official position to commit an act of rape (such as custodial abuse), they face life imprisonment and a fine.
India:
General Rape: Rigorous imprisonment for a minimum of 10 years, which can extend to life imprisonment (meaning the remainder of the perpetrator's natural life), plus a fine.
Gang Rape: Rigorous imprisonment for a minimum of 20 years, extendable to the remainder of the perpetrator's natural life, along with a fine.
Aggravated Assault (e.g., causing a vegetative state or death): Punishable by rigorous imprisonment up to the remainder of the perpetrator's natural life or the death penalty.
Bangladesh:
Primary Penalties: A convicted rapist faces either the death penalty or rigorous imprisonment for life. Speedy Trials: The law requires the investigation phase to be completed in 15 days and trials to finish within 90 days.
Other Sexual Offenses:
Gang rape, rape resulting in victim death, or rape of minors also carry the maximum penalty of death.
Penal Code:
Under the broader Penal Code, rape can otherwise be punished by up to 10 years in prison in certain cases involving adults, in addition to fines.
