WTF am I reading?

Automatic deportation for anyone committing violent crimes against anyone should be the norm.

Thank you for writing this. It’s an issue many instinctively sense but few dare to voice. The double standards in sentencing (particularly when foreign offenders receive leniency) are not just a legal failing, but a civic betrayal.

When the state prioritises cultural sensitivity or political optics over equal justice, it tells the public that some victims matter less. That corrodes trust, fuels resentment, and ultimately makes society less safe.

We explore these issues in two recent Quiet Centre papers: Let Them Speak (on how censorship around race and immigration prevents honest conversation) and Reading Between the Crimes, which dissects the UK’s national grooming gang audit and what it refused to say.

You’re doing vital work. Thank you.

It also inverts that if there is to be a 2 tier system it should operate in favour of the native population rather than foreigners. Belonging to a country should mean something. It should afford privilege as compared to persons who do not belong to that country - otherwise the concept of a country or a border is farcical all the way down

The law is definitely an ass. This is disgraceful and should not be happening, what signal does this give to the immigrants?. I don't believe they don't know it's wrong. Under this government we are second class citizens.

This shower won't do it, but if the deportation is refused by the alien's country of origin, reintroduce capital punishment for the offenders.

👏👏👏 An outstanding and essential article by Morgan! This article must be spread far and wide to readers in every corner of the globe! The British legal system is an utter disgrace! I’m all for giving immigrants equal rights under the law and due process like anyone else. But they should not have an edge over white British defendants when it comes to how light or heavy a sentence they get. If you commit a crime you should be automatically prosecuted and deported. Period. End of story. The Sexual Offences Act of 2003 and the Equality Act of 2010 should both be amended to remove all these absurd loopholes. Judicial discretion should be abolished. The practice of pre-sentence reports should be discontinued. Mitigating circumstances shouldn’t be allowed to be taken into consideration. Whether one is poor, from another culture or can’t speak English doesn’t matter. It is universally understood that when a woman says no she means no! It is a universal human right that is understood by all that sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape are heinous and wrong! Those are NOT excuses to go around harassing or assaulting women!

The UK Borders Act of 2007 should also be amended to remove human rights exceptions. Judges should also be barred from imposing sentences below the threshold to protect immigrants from deportation. The Human Rights Act of 1998 should be repealed and replaced with a better bill that doesn’t protect immigrant criminals. NGOs and asylum organizations should be barred by law from representing immigrant criminals as that is a clear conflict of interest and these organizations have their own agendas to fulfill and aren’t going to give the time of day for how the victims feel. Their lawyers should also tell immigrant criminals to plea guilty and throw themselves on the mercy of the court.

The Sentencing Act of 2020 should be repealed and replaced and it should be made illegal for judges to consider cultural or migration-related factors when it comes to immigrant criminals. It doesn’t matter if they came from a different culture or are a migrant. They don’t get a free pass to harass and assault native-born British women and girls. They don’t get a lighter sentence just because of where they were born or because they migrated to Britain. If they can’t behave like gentlemen and law abiding citizens around British women they get a heavy prison sentence and deported back home. If they don’t like it, tough luck!

With respect, they are not immigrants. They are aliens who have entered the country, at best, illegally, at worst with the intention of harming [or worse] the UK and its people, morally, physically, spiritually and economically.

Clearly, prevention is not part of UK justice. Nothing says “do what you feel like” more than seeing your fellow immigrant get off with a slap on the wrist because he might otherwise be deported.

What a perversion.

UK must escape the ECHR and its influence. Legal aid (tax payers'money) should not be available to people who have no leave to remain in UK because it incentivises law firms to represent them as fully and as long as possible. Judges should be seen to be fair and consistent in upholding our laws regardless of the perpetrator. No caving in to sob stories. Automatic deportation is quite a deterrent and endless appeals should not be allowed!
